ADVANCED METHODS IN NEUROBIOLOGY

Optogenetic methods

OptoPath’s expert in fear research has a strong background in optogenetic in behaving rodents and therefore can propose the most advanced theoretical and practical courses on the implementation of optogenetic approaches alone or in conjunction with electrophysiological recordings or pharmacological manipulation in vivo in both rats and mice.

Following is a non-exhaustive list of organized courses:

1. Basic theoretical and practical principles of optogenetics.

2. Coupling optogenetic with electrophysiology or pharmacology in behaving rodents: theoretical and practical issues.

Electrophysiological data analysis

OptoPath’s expert in fear research has a strong background in single-unit recordings and local field potential recordings and can propose the most advanced theoretical and practical courses on the analyses of electrophysiological data.

Following is a non-exhaustive list of organized courses:

1. Basic principles about in vivo electrophysiological recorded signals

2. Introductory or advanced courses on analyses of single-cell recorded in vivo

3. Introductory or advanced courses on analyses of local field recorded in vivo

Deep brain fibred confocal microscopy (Cellvizio® technology)

OptoPath’s experts have developed in vivo imaging with fibred endomicroscopy (Cellvizio®) to follow fluorescent signals in living animals at cellular level. They can propose the most advanced theoretical and practical courses on the use of Cellvizio® in brain and vascular explorations in anesthetized animals and freely moving mice. Pharmacological approaches are included in the course because experts have also a pharmacologist profile. This technique can be used in freely moving animals coupled to behavior analysis but also for longitudinal studies for neurodegenerative disorders, vascular pathologies and cancer research but also in fundamental research in physiology.

Following is a non-exhaustive list of organized courses:

1. Basic principles about Cellvizio® and the use in vivo fluorescent tracers.

2. Combination with pharmacological treatments

3. Analysis of images
